WHEEL OF FORTUNE / Eiko Shimamiya (WHEEL OF FORTUNE (運命の輪) / 島みやえい子) is a single album released for the Higurashi When They Cry series. It is composed by Kazuya Takase and Tomoyuki Nakazawa and performed by Eiko Shimamiya, who has performed many songs for the Higurashi franchise; which were featured in the anime and live action movie adaptations. The single was published by M:X and Frontier Works Inc. on Apr 16, 2008 and originally sold for 1260 JPY. Frontier Works Inc. was in charge of distribution alongside Geneon Entertainment.
The featured song Unmei no Wa is the opening theme for the 2008 live action movie Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, also known as Shrill Cries of Summer internationally. The B-side of the album is Diorama which is featured in the ending credits to the movie.
