This unnamed Putus, also known as simply Demon (鬼 Oni), attacked Onigafuchi Village long ago, resulting in Riku Furude becoming orphaned. He appears exclusively in Kotohogushi-hen.
Appearance[]
The Putus does not have sprites but he is represented through CGs.
Personality[]
This Putus desires to fight and is very cruel, possessing Riku as a way of getting revenge on Yeasomul by forcing her to attack the man she loves.
Background[]
This Putus used to be a Hai and helped his brethren to defeat Grifys. However, he desired to have a battle befitting his skills and willingly demonified, knowing that he would be able to fight other Ryuun. He attacked Onigafuchi Village with the help of other Grifys and was slain by Yeasomul. The Putus remained as a free body however and began planning revenge.
Story[]
Kotohogushi-hen[]
Riku communicates to Hanyuu despite being possessed by the Putus
Hanyuu goes to a village after hearing reports of bandits attempting to raid it by posing as demons only to be killed by a real one. Hanyuu engages the demon only to find that it has possessed Riku, evidenced by it wearing the same necklace she gave to Riku earlier.
The demon reveals that he is a Putus and was the same demon who attacked Onigafuchi 20 years ago, becoming a free body when he died. He wanted to get revenge on Hanyuu by possessing Riku, knowing that she would despair over being forced to attack the man she loves. Hanyuu resolves herself and prepares to kill her husband, fighting back and almost defeating it. The Putus tries to leave Riku's body and inhabit another one, however Riku manages to regain some control and stops the demon from leaving. Hanyuu delivers the final blow and kills both the Putus and Riku for good.
