| Overview |
Shishibone City (鹿骨市 Shishibone-shi) is a fictional city located nearby to Hinamizawa Village. It is also the main setting for Kaidan to Odorou, Soshite Anata wa Kaidan de Odoru.

General Information
The Sonozaki family has much influence in the area with their yakuza connections.[1] A child consultation center is also located in the area.[2]
Okinomiya
Okinomiya (興宮 Okinomiya) is a city in Shishibone that the club regularly visits. Mion and Shion's parents live there,[3] and it is where the Okinomiya Police Department is located, which are responsible for investigating any crimes that may happen in Hinamizawa.
Compared to Hinamizawa, Okinomiya has many more modern facilities and businesses. It contains a toy store, the restaurant Angel Mort, a library, and an apartment complex where Shion lives alone. Her partment complex she lives in is also owned by the Sonozaki family, and so many of the tenants are shady people connected to him in some way or another.[4] There is also an elementary school with much better resources and teachers than the Hinamizawa Branch School[5], but because of its distance most kids from Hinamizawa enrolled in the Branch School instead.[6]
