Kumasawa's son. Works at the Niijima Fishing Harbor. He must have gotten his carefree, big-hearted personality from Kumasawa.

Kumasawa loved to talk, so I did hope he might've heard her let something slip, but...
Sabakichi is a heavy-set man with gray hair and wears a blue shirt. The kanji for mackerel (鯖 saba) is printed on his shirt.
Sabakichi's mother was a victim of the Rokkenjima Mass Murders. Similar to Masayuki Nanjo, Sabakichi received a letter in the mail from Beatrice containing a PIN number, a bank card, and a set of keys leading to a vault containing a massive amount of money. Sabakichi never investigated the letter since he thought it was creepy but held on to the materials.

In 1998, Ange goes to interview relatives of people who died in the Rokkenjima Mass Murders, with Sabakichi being her second stop. Sabakichi shows her the letter and things inside. He also says that his mother tried to solve the epitaph and points her to some pictures.
