A Reader (朗読者 Rōdoku-sha) is a special kind of miko that is appointed by witches to read and narrate gameboards. A Reader gains the same type of protection as other mikos, unable to be harmed so long as their master wills it. When Readers read, they are allowed to insert their own thoughts and embellishments as they go, which can result in a story being presented nonobjectively or with a hint of falseness.
Ange Ushiromiya and Bernkastel are the only characters seen thus far to become Readers, and both have been appointed by Featherine Augustus Aurora at different points of the story.
