Ougon Syndrome (黄金シンドローム, lit. Golden Syndrome) is a vocal album released for the Umineko When They Cry series. The tracks are composed and arranged by Luck Ganriki and the lyrics were written by E.Kida. The vocals were provided by Rekka Katakiri, Nei Kino and Zakuro Motoki and the chorus comprised of Katakiri, Kino, Kanae Sakura and Nakao Boushi. Sound effects assistance was provided by M.Zakky and zts, while Pre-holder helped with the rhythm track arrangement and pre-mix of "Birth of a new witch". The album was published by Circletempo on August 15, 2009 and sold for 1000 JPY.
The format imitates that of an audio concert, with tracks in between songs where the performers interact with the audience. Notable songs include a band arrangement of the song "Happy Maria!", a vocal arrangement of the BGM track "Usan no Kaori", and "Birth of a new witch". The latter two songs were officially adapted as a part of the soundtrack for the next installment of Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru—Dawn of the Golden Witch—in 2010.
