Kanji Romaji Translation

Kono sekai ni chirabaru ōbu
Shikaku ni todokanu mono
Jittai no nai kansokusha
Zenchi wo mitasu

Kurikaesu pendyuramu
Wazuka sukoshi no fujun douki
Seimei no ki no kajitsu wa
Tsuchi ni ochita

Scattered across this world are orbs—
Beings you cannot perceive with sight
Spectators without a form
Achieve omniscience

The pendulum swings back and forth,
With a slightly wicked motive
And the fruit from the tree of life
Has fallen to the earth

Mahou no you ni fushizen de
Kyouki jimita
Kono gishiki ga

Jin wo egaku
Fudesaki de
Kanaeru no nara

Sekai-goto hitei suru

Almost as bizarre as magic itself,
This ceremonial ritual
Tinged with madness

With just the flick of a brush,
Painting summoning circles—
If it could grant it all,

I would deny the entire world

Irumināto
"Sore" wa marude subete wo
Misukasu you ni
Furachi na chikara de azawarai
Shifuku ni mitasareyuku

Irumināto
Sakuran suru byousha de
"Koji" suru hodo
Zenchi no chikara wa
Kutsugaeri hagare ochiyuku

"Shikumareta kiseki" e to—

Illuminato[1]
It's almost as if "it"
Can see through everything
Taunting us with its outrageous power,
It overflows with bliss

Illuminato—
The more we put on a show
Perplexing enough to "boast",
The omniscient power is overthrown
And comes toppling down

As we arrive at the "concocted miracle"

Perplexing enough to "boast",

And comes toppling down

As we arrive at the "concocted miracle"

Tozasareta shinpishugi
Soko ni umareta tsuukagirei
Akogare no majo, gouriteki
Genjutsu no tabū

Aozameta uma-tachi ga kakeru
Giten wo yurushitamae
Ryuurei na kaze joui naru
Chouchou no mai

The mysticism sealed within me
And the rites of passage born there
From the admired witch and the taboo
Of logical witchcraft

The pale horses gallop—
Do allow me these pseudepigrapha[2]
An elegant gust of wind blows,
As the grand dance of butterflies ensues

Mahou no you ni me wo kuramu

Ayatsuru no nara

Mirai-goto hitei suru

Almost as blinding as magic itself,
This extraordinary spectacle
No different from a nightmare

With just a single flourish
Of an enchanting wand—
If it could control it all,

I would deny the future to come

When "it" was once revered
As a sacred mystery,
It engulfed us with its love
And brought about the word of god

Illuminato—
If "miracles" we cannot see
Will not suffice,
Countless keys shall appear
To light the way for us all—

Towards the "theory of everything"

At the "miracle of returning to zero"

Notes[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 Illuminato is Italian for "illuminated" or "enlightened"
  2. The Pale Horses is a reference to the detective novel by Agatha Christie. Hence, the singer calls it a pseudepigrapha.
