Luka Urushibara (漆原 るか Urushibara Luka) is a character appearing in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei in the Steins;Gate collaboration event From the Future.
Appearance[]
Luka has a feminine appearance. He has short black hair and wears a shrine maiden outfit.
Personality[]
Luka is very quiet and reserved, often standing by passively when Okabe and Kurisu argue.
Background[]
Luka joins Okabe's experiment to enter the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni game world using a VR machine and travels to a supposedly virtual 1983 Hinamizawa.

Role in the Story[]
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei[]
Luka brings over some vegetables to the Future Gadget Lab and becomes part of Okabe's VR experiment. He, Okabe and Kurisu travel to the world of Higurashi and are amazed by how real everything feels and smells. Luka watches as Kurisu argues with Okabe since the latter never thought of a way out, and the club soon appear and learn their situation. Luka notices that Satoshi's form is flickering and tells Kurisu about this.
The lab crew goes with Kazuho's group to a pay phone and learn from Tamura that the world is falling apart. They need to destroy some monsters using objects from their original world, and Luka finds he has a Role Card. Satoko, Rika, and Satoshi appear, who learn about the situation with their world line. Luka comforts Satoko when she starts crying over having to say goodbye to Satoshi to fix the world.
The group goes to the Furude Shrine and defeats the monsters, and everyone returns to their original world. Luka wakes up back inside the lab, thinking the virtual world was really real.

- Satoshi wearing the same outfit as Luka during the event is likely a reference to the fact that they share the same voice actress, Yuu Kobayashi.
