- "I, have had enough of Beatrice. I want to know who I am. I want to start out as a new human, not Beatrice. So I want you to take me from here. I don't need tea anymore. I don't need this dress. I won't meet with Kinzo again. Please take me from here. Rosa."
- — Beatrice asking Rosa to take her away
The Kuwadorian Beatrice (九羽鳥庵のベアトリーチェ Beatrice of Kuwadorian), as her name implies, is a woman named Beatrice who lives in the hidden mansion Kuwadorian.
Appearance[]
Beatrice appears as a Caucasian woman with ginger-blonde hair and blue eyes. Unfortunately for her, her father couldn't help but notice her striking resemblance to her deceased mother as she grew up. She also wears a bow adorned with a rose in her hair, a choker, and ballgown-like dress. Her dress constantly switches from brown to dark brown across the different adaptations, appearing brown in both the anime and PS3 game.
Personality[]
Beatrice has a childlike mentality as a result of living an isolated life within a hidden mansion. She acts very polite and shows wonder in learning new things.
Background[]
The Kuwadorian Beatrice is the daughter and illegitimate child of Kinzo Ushiromiya and Beatrice Castiglioni. Soon after Beatrice was born, her mother died. Kinzo had built a mansion hidden in the forests of Rokkenjima called Kuwadorian, where Beatrice would be raised in secret. Chiyo Kumasawa helped to raise her. To prevent others from discovering Kuwadorian, rumors were spread about a witch living in the nearby forest, though many suspected that Kinzo's mistress was hidden there due to the supplies sent there.
Because of the circumstances of her birth, Kinzo, consumed with grief, believed his daughter was a reincarnation of his lover and named her after her mother. She became subject to his sexual advances and a child was conceived, who would be recognized either as Yasu or Lion Ushiromiya.
Beatrice remained in Kuwadorian until Rosa found the mansion and decided to show her the outside world. While exploring the island, Beatrice fell from a rocky cliff and died. The news of her death was covered up by Genji and other trusted servants.
In her honor, Kinzo ordered a painting of her to be placed in the main Rokkenjima mansion. She eventually became the basis of the legend of the Golden Witch, whom Yasu uses as the basis for creating their Beatrice persona.

Role in the Story[]
Banquet of the Golden Witch[]
Rosa explains that she met and killed Beatrice after discovering the hidden mansion as a young girl. In the meta-world, the Golden Witch Beatrice embellishes Rosa's story with magic, claiming that she was captured by Kinzo, lost her memories and became trapped inside a human body. After Beatrice II's death, the Golden Witch's spirit was set free and regained her true self.
Requiem of the Golden Witch[]
Rosa tells the same story again during the funeral for Beatrice. After being questioned by Willard H. Wright for more information, she reveals that she called Genji that night, who told her to not tell anyone about this incident and promised to take care of it.
