Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Kuradashi-hen (ひぐらしのなく頃に 蔵出し編 When the Cicadas Cry: Goods-Releasing Chapter) is a Higurashi When They Cry light novel. It is a collection of "what if?" stories derived from scrapped concepts in the writing and development of the original story, supplemented by illustrations from various Higurashi manga artists. Kuradashi was available to Japanese buyers who bought Time Killing Arc Volume 2, Atonement Arc Volume 1, Eye Opening Arc Volume 1, or Beyond Midnight Arc Volume 1 on the day they first released.
A sequel titled Kuradashi-hen Zoku was released in December 2007.
