Koshka (コーシュカ Kōshuka) is a member of the Gauntlet Knight squad Grave Mole, hailing from AOU Russia.
Profile[]
From AOU Russia
A member of the 100th Aerial Augmented Infantry Experimental Squad "Grave Mole", of the AOU Combined Military Geroy Level 4 Heavy Military Research Center
She is currently serving time as a Class 1 Criminal (her crime is not public knowledge), but has been allowed to leave in exchange for volunteering as a research subject at the Geroy Level 4 Heavy Military Research Center.
That research center and the Russian government have not publicly released details concerning her mental capacity, so her talent and potential are unknown.
The range of her P3 level varies widely and is unstable. However, though it's unofficial and only happened once, she has supposedly surpassed the highest P3 level measurements of Miyao, the world record holder, by a considerable margin.
Appearance[]
Koshka has disheveled green hair and wears a green bow. Her face is covered in bandages. She wears a uniform jacket with a long skirt and black boots. Koshka wears an armband that has the Cyrillic letter Г (which has the numerical value of 3) and the Arabic numeral 4.
Koshka's Gauntlet resembles medieval knight armor and has a large object resembling a musket attached to it.
Personality[]
Koshka is lazy, but when she gets going she becomes an unstoppable force.
In the Japanese text, she speaks in a masculine way, using "ora" (オラ) as her first pronoun. She also ends her sentences with "-pe" (ペ).
Relationships[]
Special Abilities[]
Pandora's Box (SS)
This is apparently a code name that researchers use to refer to her brain. It is said that all sorts of disasters are packed in there...and that hope lies at the bottom of it all...
Sixth Sense Predictive Sniping (S)
Her predictive sniping, using a sixth sense that isn't based on formulas or statistics, is accurate too often to be easily dismissed as a fluke. In the simulator, she's even succeeded at sniping ricochet-flying targets on multiple occasions.
Poor Dimension Container Affinity (-A)
The amount of weaponry she can store in her Dimension Container is extremely small. She's chosen a powerful anti-Aerial Augmented Infantry electromagnetic battle rifle to occupy her small weaponry supply.
Background[]
Koshka was sent to the Geroy Level 4 Heavy Military Research Center to become "equipment" because of a crime she committed. She was made into a Gauntlet Knight and placed into Grave Mole. Koshka and Lilja both have devices embedded into their heads that electrocutes them if a button is pressed, typically used by Chloe on behalf of Okonogi.
Role in the Story[]
For You, the Replaceable Ones[]
Koshka is first introduced in Chapter 1 with her squad mates and has a short duel with Warcat. After the International Battle Standard Festival, she accepts the Public Bath Oath, though it's later revealed to have been done out of peer pressure.
Koshka continues to train and in Chapter 8, she suddenly disconnects from a virtual room while speaking with Lilja and Gunhild when her brain is opened up by doctors studying her. These doctors refer to her as "the Pandora," doing research on several other girls as well. After they collect enough information, Koshka's head is put back together and she resumes virtual conversation as normal.
In Chapter 15, Koshka joins Miyao's Order of the Public Bath however she mainly uses it as an excuse to not work. In Chapter 17, Koshka and Grave Mole are sent into combat against COU forces above the Amur River.
In Chapters 24 and 25, Koshka shows displeasure in Chloe and Lilja trying to convince the newly-deployed trainee Gauntlet Knights and doesn't attend Miyao's Christmas party. Despite this, she shows some hesitation when attacking enemies who were former WanyaDora party members. She resolves to "destroy this broken world" and blasts off somewhere.
In the epilogue, a bloodied Koshka becomes surrounded by police officers with anti-Gauntlet weaponry and starts saying she'll be going into a new world.
The Data Fragments show more of Koshka's relationships with her squad mates.
Trivia[]
- Koshka means "Female cat" in Russian.
- In Higurashi Rei: Oniokoshi, lookalikes of Koshka and her team appear as Angel Mort waitresses advertising a collaboration with "Wanyan no Naku Koro ni".
