This article is about a character in Rose Guns Days.

Julie Hayashibara (林原 樹里 Hayashibara Juri) is a reporter who is chosen by Jeanne Amakawa to interview her and keep a record of her life. She first appears in Season 1.

Appearance[]

Julie has blue eyes and wavy brown hair in a ponytail. She wears a black and cyan shirt, black pants and white low heels.

Personality[]

Julie shows some awe and surprise in learning how different the Japan of the 1940s and the Japan of the modern day are. She also gets very annoyed when Toratsugu is around.

Background[]

Julie is a woman whose family is pure Japanese, and she later went to work for the Hong Kong Daily News. Her pure Japanese heritage is what made Jeanne choose her to interview her.

Story[]

Season 1[]

Julie is first introduced in 2012 where she goes to Jeanne's mansion and begins her interview. She frequently makes comparisons between Jeanne's descriptions of the Japan of 1947 and the Japan of 2012.

Season 2[]

Julie starts interviewing Jeanne about the Soy Sauce War and briefly interviews Advisor Uedera about his side of things in 1948.

Season 3[]

Julie becomes acquaintances with Uedera's grandson Toratsugu and is presented with the idea that she may be chosen as Jeanne's successor.

Last Season[]

Julie finally hears of Jeanne's role in the story of Primavera, surprised that she wasn't nearly as charismatic as she made herself out to be.

After finishing her story, Jeanne takes Julie to visit the graves of her grandparents and reveals that they belong to Rose and Leo; Rose Haibara left City 23 after giving Primavera to Jeanne and changed her name to Hayashibara. Julie is then presented with the option of becoming Primavera's new Madam in the future and accepts, planning to go into the future and learn so she can measure up to Rose.
