Iwaihime (祝姫 lit. Celebration Princess) is a visual novel written by Ryukishi07 and published by DMM.com. Characters were designed by Kina Kazuharu and the backgrounds were done by mocha.
A port on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita named Iwaihime: Matsuri (祝姫 -祀- lit. Celebration Princess: Shrine) were released by Nippon Ichi Software. It introduced an extra chapter, Musubihime (結姫).
Iwaihime was released on Steam with an English translation on October 23, 2020. This version includes the aforementioned Musubihime as DLC.

From October 7, 2015 to October 31, 2015, the game's twitter account progressively published the game's prologue, at the rate of 4 posts per day.[2]
The game was originally scheduled for release on November 27, 2015, but on October 30, 2015, DMM GAMES announced that it had been delayed to January 29, 2016.[3]
On November 27, 2015, a demo of the game is released on the DMM website.[4]
On August 9, 2017, a web demo of the Matsuri version of the game is released online.[5]
On October 2, 2020, a demo of the international Steam version of the game is released.[6]

Iwaihime Guidebook[]
To apologize for the game's delay[7], DMM distributed a booklet titled Iwaihime Guidebook (祝姫ガイドブック) starting on November 7, 2015, in Toranoana stores[8]. It was made available online for free starting November 20[9]. The booklet contains a detailed summary, character introductions, as well as an exclusive 4-koma manga.
Minori Sakae[]
From August 10 to September 13, 2017, to commemorate the upcoming release of Iwaihime: Matsuri, the three-part short story Minori Sakae (榮美乃利 Sakae Minori), written by Ryukishi07 and illustrated by Kina Kazuharu, was published in Dengeki PlayStation magazine. The first issue also included an interview with Yuka Ootsubo, the voice actress of Kanae Minobe.
Adaptation[]
A manga adaptation by Tomo Tanaka was serialized on Big Gangan from September 25, 2015 (Monthly Big Gangan 2015 Volume 10) to July 25, 2016 (Monthly Big Gangan 2016 Volume 8) and collected into two volumes. The first five chapters were serialized before the game's release, and the publication of the first volume coincides with the release of the game.
