Synopsis[]
In summer of 1983, Keiichi Maebara moves to Hinamizawa Village, a remote village with a population of less than 2,000 people, far from the city. There's Rena, who's always willing to help; Mion, the oldest and class rep; Satoko, who's a master of traps; and Rika, who has an air of mystery about her. The five of them get along so well that Keiichi almost forgets that he had just moved in, but a slight change comes over them.
One day, Keiichi's parents leave the house for a long while. Finding himself in trouble, Keiichi asks Rena, Mion, Satoko and Rika for help, and he decides to live with one of them until his parents come home.
It was supposed to be a happy life together, just the two of them with their kind friends...until he heard that story.[2]
Story[]
Chuu is touted as a remake of the original sound novels with updated art and backgrounds.[3]
Gameplay[]
The gameplay consists of reading stories and substories. In the Google Play version, players could earn two forms of currency: tickets and Kenta-kun dolls. Tickets were used to advance the main story for one of four characters: Rena Ryuugu, Mion Sonozaki, Satoko Houjou, and Rika Furude.
Dolls were used to unlock substories for each character. Spending 5 dolls allowed the player to play a minigame where they choose from 1 of three cards. Selecting the right card would unlock the substory while choosing the wrong cards unlocked nothing.
