Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu (ひぐらしのなく頃に卒 When the Cicadas Cry Graduation) is a 2021 Higurashi When They Cry anime project created by Passione and a sequel to Higurashi: When They Cry - GOU.

Funimation licensed it under the title Higurashi: When They Cry - SOTSU.

Before the airing of the first episode, Ryukishi posted on Twitter that Gou and Sotsu are meant to be the culmination of the Question Arcs, Kai, and Rei.[1]

Production[]

Ryukishi07 stated in an interview on March 23, 2021 that "Higurashi Sotsu is structured in a way that it tells the story of how the tragedy happened from Satoko's point of view. The game board rotates around, and the player changes from Rika to Satoko."
