Data Fragments

Data Fragments (フラグメント, Furagumento) refer to the version of the TIPS system in Ciconia no Naku Koro ni. They are similar to the TIPS in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, and take the form of additional short scenes that expand on the characters and worldbuilding.

• The term "フラグメント" was translated as "Data Fragments" to avoid confusion with Fragments (カケラ, kakera), an established When They Cry universe term which refer to the possible alternative worlds created by different sets of actions.
