I wrote the "Cotton Drifting Arc" as the second story after the "Abducted by Demons Arc," and I wrote it with the emphasis on explaining the setting of Hinamizawa more deeply. It's also the story that best depicts the mood of detective novels from the good old days and, of the many "Higurashi" stories, is one of the creator's own favorites.
Now then. As for the degree of difficulty of the "Cotton Drifting Arc," the creator has stated that "It's not as difficult as the 'Abducted by Demons Arc,' but it is extremely vicious," and essentially, it has the lowest degree of difficulty of all the "Higurashi WHEN THEY CRY" stories. But, as also stated, it has a vicious trap, and if it happens to get you, you're in danger of viciously falling into a pitfall. And the scary thing about this trap is that those who fall neatly into it may not realize that they've fallen into a trap.
Please check to see if you were caught in the "Cotton Drifting Arc"'s answer story, the "Eye Opening Arc."
...If on the off-chance you happen to learn that you were neatly caught in the trap...congratulations, you enjoyed the "Cotton drifting arc" more than anyone (laugh).
Hello. I'm Yutori Houjyou, in charge of the artwork.
Thank you to everyone who has read this far.
I am truly happy to be able to have encountered "Higurashi WHEN THEY CRY" and to be able to work on the manga version. The "Cotton Drifting Arc" is concluded, but "Higurashi" isn't over yet! I'm starting the answer arc, the "Eye Opening Arc"!!
That person and that person and that person, who we only caught glimpses of in the "Cotton Drifting Arc," show up in the "Eye Opening Arc," a story with a rare flashback mixed in!
I'm going to put all my energy into drawing this one too, so please enjoy it.
Well then, let's meet in the "Eye Opening Arc!"
