Higurashi Characters

Category for characters appearing in Higurashi When They Cry. There are multiple subcategories under this:

• Club members: Characters who are members of the Club at the start of the story.
• Supporting characters: Other characters who appear in the eight main arcs.
• Side arc characters: Characters who only appear in other arcs or receive heightened focus in them.
• Rei characters: Characters introduced in the sequel manga series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei.
• Mei characters: Characters who appear exclusively or have an extended role in the mobile game Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei.
• Supernatural Entities: Characters who are supernatural in origin and integral to the story overall yet appear very late.
