  • Ryukishi07: The founding member of the group, who is mostly responsible for screenplay and illustrations.
  • 4U: Credited with designing and creating the original 07th Storming Party website that served as 07th Expansion's main website[1] and scripting Higurashi's tips. Departed from 07th Expansion after Higurashi.
  • Yatazakura: Ryukishi07's younger brother, credited with scripting. He is also credited as "Partner in Crime" (主犯) in the early credits of Higurashi, possibly owing to Yatazakura influencing Ryukishi's doujin hobby, introducing him to NScripter, and creating the original "scary eyes" that would appear on Higurashi characters.[2]
  • BT: was in charge of homepage management and the creation of Higurashi's original music rooms and minigames. He was considered the "brains" of the group. BT passed away on July 10, 2009 due to illness.
  • dai: was responsible for composing music in Higurashi, Umineko, and Ciconia. He also contributed to scripting.
  • Tokika: Ryukishi's youngest brother. During Umineko's production, he and BT worked on public relations[3] and later managed the official website with Tsubaki Naruse.[4]
  • Tsubaki Naruse (なるせ 椿) is Ryukishi's friend. An edited picture of him was used as the "eyes" background in Watanagashi. During Umineko he helped Tokihi manage the website[4] and colored characters. At some point he graduated from 07th Expansion and got a new job.[5]
  • Kameya Mannen-dou (亀屋万年堂): worked on backgrounds for Higurashi and Umineko.
  • Nekozakura (猫桜): worked under Yatazakura on the system and scripting during Umineko. She also assisted in the production of the Umineko anime.[4]
