Story[]

Part 1[]

Rika feels like something breaks inside her head. Her vision and senses warp for a moment. It feels like hearing the last anguish scream of someone who has just disappeared. But yet, one moment later, everything is fine. She walks alongside Hanyuu, who turns around to her and wonders if anything had happened, but Rika denies it. Watanagashi is coming and Rika needs to prepare for the ceremony. Thanks to the loops, and even before them teachings from Hanyuu, she was able to perform the ritual dance excellently with a skill that should be far beyond her age.

Rika stops Hanyuu and questions her about the three children who recently arrived. Kazuho Kimiyoshi, Miyuki Akasaka, and Nao Houtani. Kazuho's identity was a matter of its own, but Miyuki Akasaka carried Akasaka's surname and the name of his daughter, yet looked much older. Nao Houtani too, although carrying an unfamiliar surname almost certainly is related to Rena. Were they sent to cause some kind of change within the loops? Hanyuu talks about how she doesn't know the kind of power behind them, and they can only watch and wait. Rika tells herself that if the message she received earlier is right, then the time to act will come soon. Hanyuu soon interrupts her though, wondering about Keiichi's expulsion from the village.

Part 2[]

Rika thinks back to the situation in the beginning of June. Keiichi had left to a family funeral, but was taking longer to return than expected. An annoyed Satoko complains about Keiichi being inconsiderate while Rika watches her. Satoko became fond of Keiichi rather quickly, maybe because they attracted each other as hurt people. Rika tells Satoko there are probably family circumstances, and Satoko dismisses it all, saying she isn't really worried about him. Rika muses about how cute that side of Satoko is, pretending to be though and above it all. Rena reveals Mion had been screaming for Keiichi since the previous day much to her embarrassment. Chie arrives, making everyone go back to their desks and starting classes. Although she notes the school had been contacted and Keiichi would be taking one day longer than expected to return, bringing life back to the class. Watching the life brought to the class just by Keiichi's name, Rika declares that a new wind really is necessary.

Part 3[]

Rika tells Hanyuu that with Keiichi's arrival alongside him comes a new wind, bringing change to Hinamizawa in one way or another. It's not even a personal quality of him, but rather something about the "world" or "fate". That just makes Hanyuu insist even more, wondering why Rika forces Keiichi to leave Hinamizawa even though he'd bring change. Mion told her Rika herself talked about being bullied by Keiichi. Not only Keiichi, even his family became enemies of the villagers and they had to move away. Hanyuu wonders why Rika eliminated him without even consulting her. Has she given up and become desperate due to the endless loops? Hanyuu tells Rika she shouldn't give up hope and how they will get out again.

Rika wonders who the girl talking with her is. Even if she looks the same as Hanyuu and even if she somehow manages to mimic their connection, she has been with Hanyuu for a long time. She isn't fooled. And, she did manage to hear Hanyuu's lasts words before she was banished from this world, telling her to not be fooled by a fake.

Hanyuu wonders if Rika is going mad, but she soon starts smiling and then laughing madly. Addressing Rika as "descendant of the people of the horns", Hanyuu confirms her deduction. Hanyuu claims if only Rika had just ignored all that she could have continued looping and eventually would cross the wall of 83. But even though she's just a human, she chooses to confront God. A piece should just be a piece and follow the player's moves. "Hanyuu" immediately strikes Rika, who can only cry in pain. If left under the current conditions, this world would lose its balance, so she needs to put Rika to sleep. Rika promises with the help of her friends next time she will smash the fake Hanyuu's face.

"Hanyuu" isn't surprised by Rika, in fact, her attitude is befitting of the descendant of the chief of the people of the horns. After Rika disappears, "Hanyuu" concludes her sudden disappearance would cause issues to her, so she'd need a replacement. The ghostly form of a horned Rika appears soon afterwards. "Hanyuu" muses that since they share blood and have similar wavelength, it wasn't hard to create her. Soon, Watanagashi would come, and she'd take a special seat to watch how everything would turn out.
