Story[]
Part 1[]
During the events of Low-Pressure Girls, Haruhi Suzumiya's duel against the Club games had just ended. Kyon is tired and just wants to rest, but Haruhi is hungry. She argues that Kyon isn't angry because he was doing nothing, but Kyon argues that Haruhi also was just shouting orders while Itsuki Koizumi, Mikuru Asahina and Yuki Nagato were doing everything. Koizumi agrees that he's hungry too, so Haruhi's decision is set. Mion tells them about an interesting nearby place.
They get to the Angel Mort in Okinomiya, but from outside at least it just seems like a normal small town family restaurant. Mion guarantees the impression inside is completely different.
Part 2[]
Arriving there, the SOS Brigade immediately notice the maids with daring uniforms with front slits and revealing busts. Haruhi says it's not exactly her style but still good, while Kyon isn't even sure where he should be looking at. Shion welcomes them as one of the waitresses. Haruhi wants to order lots of stuff since she might never get a chance to eat there again. Shion is happy to get impressions from people coming from bigger cities. Then Haruhi decides Asahina can learn customer service with all the maid waitresses there. Asahina quickly starts working, although she's clumsy and stumbling, even dropping hot drinks on a costumer. However, the reactions were oddly positive. Mion explains that it's a regular costumer and they're all open minded people, but that just seems crazy to Kyon.
Part 3[]
Kyon leaves with Asahina to rest for a while outside. Koizumi is also there. Kyon mentions this all feels like a dream, although Koizumi says that he'd rest easily if it was a dream. Rather than that, there is a complex mess of bungled information. To start with, Angel Mort is actually a store chain. There's another in Gogura, where it's said sometimes there's even a huge line. And yet Koizumi had never heard about that place. No advertisements anywhere. Kyon dismisses it as just being a local store group, and how there are many they wouldn't know, but Koizumi brings up the menu itself. It uses the term "pasta" even though it was unknown in Japan during the 80s, due to being before the Italian food fever. On top of that, other desserts like tiramisu are also available even though they shouldn't be found in a small Japanese town in the 80s.
Then there's the issue of the school days. He talked with Kazuho, Nao and Miyuki yesterday who mentioned they didn't have classes this Saturday since it was the second one. But no classes on every second Saturday only became a rule in the 90s, with actual holidays being generalized in the 00s. Koizumi is interested in that trio of girls specifically, hoping to find a bigger contradiction tied to them.
After the tragedy during Watanagashi, while Kyon and Asahina rest for a while, she tells Kyon the truth about Hinamizawa. Somehow, when they return to their world, Asahina seems to lose those memories. Still, Kyon promises to Asahina he wouldn't talk about it and kept that promise. In fact, Kyon believes it's good Asahina somehow forgot about it.
