Story[]
Mion tells the club about how someone in a council meeting claims to have heard a ghost in the school at night. Nao and Satoko are afraid she's going to make them do a test of courage. Miyuki says it's Rena's fault the two can't do tests of courage, and Rena apologizes since she's never played the part of a ghost before; Kazuho wonders if a chainsaw-wielding killer can really be called a ghost.
Mion explains the council member heard the sounds of piano playing in the school at night, and that there is indeed an old piano kept in a back room that was donated to Chie long ago. Mion plans to check it out and has already recruited Shion and Keiichi to help her, with everyone dismayed that she is indeed putting on another test of courage.
The club meets up at school that night. Keiichi is displeased that they're all treating him like a sacrificial lamb but leads the group anyway. True to the rumor, they hear piano playing, and when they enter the room, they find Kitty playing it. Kitty explains that she and her friends found a way back to Hinamizawa, and she ended up near the school and was having fun with the piano. Nao sees that the piano is a Bechstein, a very valuable piano.
The next day, Kitty helps the club fight tsukuyami and restore some villagers that were still cuteified by the magic mirror's powers. Shion says she called someone from Okinomiya and donated the piano to an orchestral group. The rest of the group admonishes Kitty for playing the piano late at night and scaring everyone, but Kitty explains that she only came to Hinamizawa yesterday. The group realizes that the council member must have really heard a ghost.
