Does anyone have the spoiler coding for this wiki? The CSS needed, at the very least?
The oldest images I've uploaded on this wiki have gone missing. Why is that? What happened to them? Does anyone know how this problem can be solved?
Thanks.
As I record my Higurashi playthrough, I've been slowly working on a highly formatted, precise and accurate script document to count the words for the series arcs, including counts for specific chapters in those arcs, formatting to match the game in ADV mode, and even match cases of text in images such as the opening poems.
This is, as far as I know, the only time anyone has bothered to do a precise word count for this series, with evidence that can be looked at, rather than simply an estimate based on filesizes. If anyone would like to include these in the wiki, it will steadily be updated on this document here.

I've only finished Onikakushi's word count (108,078 without nametags) so far, and I'm expecting to finish Watanagashi within a week, but beyond that, progress will slow as it's easiest for me to do this after recording an arc in its entirety, and I've only recorded these two arcs so far. Regardless, I hope someone finds this interesting. Here's some examples of the formatting.
The start of the Prologue, showcasing the poem by Frederica Bernkastel formatted to match the game as well as possible, and the script in ADV format.
The start of Day 9-2, showcasing the Teaser narration that plays here in the 07th Mod game, and the script in ADV format, with nametags.

Does anyone knows where this Art coming from and is it official, and canon to 07th Expansion?

I found this description about the creator character from this franchise, can someone explain to me in laymans terms what it means?-The creator stands above all restrictions and laws. No one touched his boundaries yet.
I would be grateful if someone gives a text file to Umineko Hane, Tsubasa, Saku. Or tell me where I can get them
Can anyone provide a guide to all 8 episodes? And also, I would like to receive a text file on Umineko (visual novel). I will be grateful
(spoiler-free) I noticed the Umineko pages about the solution weren't up-to-date. The manga does a nice job visually showing everything but many fans cannot read it thoroughly and after speedreading they are like "Yep, X is canon now, the praised king Ryukishi has spoken, critic is unneccesary". I won't say any names but I blame some of the original fan-translator of the EP8 manga and spreading (or happily spoilering) that in communities. Why I am bringing this up? Particularly, that one chapter has a big plothole that shakes the base of the "official solution" (or confirmation) that Ryukishi confirmed it which people seemingly wanted to be true. I don't see this as a literal confirmation by the showing secrets behind the world of Umineko. I see this as a new layer of the cat box he wants to show us (and tricking a majory of people into showing a golden truth they wanted to see and let them happy hehe).
Recently I was playing Umineko's Visual Novel and came to the conclusion that Featherine's Tier was wrong, with several scans talking about it. So I prepared this text to explain my pov, sorry for my English mistakes, I still don't master it completely. Here's my take on Umineko's cosmology and Featherine's Tier.
Well, to climb umineko, we'll start by talking about the human world, which in itself is the lowest among all the domains. The human domain is a conceptual space, where there is an infinite staircase with infinite steps, one superior to the other, in a spiral. Climbing these steps, you lose your conceptual restrictions, the higher you climb, the less limited you become, you carry knowledge of the unimaginable, of infinite versions of yourself, everything loses meaning for you, time, space, nothing else does. difference. With that we end the human world, and now we go to the domain of the witches.
Well, for the beginning of the witch domain, let's talk about the board. The board fictionally transcends the human world, so anything above or below the board level is minimally 1-A. The board is the lowest tier of the witch domain. Just like the human world, the witch domain is also formed by an infinite ladder of transcendence, where the higher you climb, the less restrictions you have.
With that, I'll tell you what a kakera is. The kakeras are infinite futures of the witch world in fictional form within a fragment. Each of the kakeras is above the human world, so each kakera is minimally 1-A. Each fragment is formed by infinite kakeras, that is, each fragment is formed by infinite 1-A structures, thus totaling, each fragment is high 1-A. The sea of fragments is an infinite void with countless fragments. So we can total the witch world as high 1-A.
Now we will talk about the library, the library is a place that transcends the world of witches, being on a higher plane than itself. Each of the infinite books in the city of books is made up of infinite fragments, so each of the infinite books in the library is a tier 0 structure.
At the end of cosmology, I will talk about the world of creators: The world of creators is a layer above everything else. Creators are omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent beings and bear no limitations.
Now I will speak of Aurora (featherine): Aurora is the ruler of the library, having ascended to it. Featherine sees the witches' domain as a simple board, besides, Featherine has achieved the creator's domain. Completing Featherine as tier 0, in the layers requirement, she is infinity boundless.
Conclusion:
Tier: Infinity Boundless
Dimensionality: AD
Speed: Irrelevant / OmnipresentSo I haven't really get it, what was the announcement of the stream? Of what I have understand Ryukishi was not there
Does anyone know of a link to buy the game "TRianThology"? Even if I can't quite understand it yet, I at least want to buy it. Additionally, I've been thinking of getting a "visual novel translator" program so that I can play it properly.
She said "I like it".
So I've been seeing lots of mixed thoughts on Sotsu going around what's your opinion on it?
Spoilers are allowed up to ep 11 of Sotsu.
Is all of 07th Expansion canon to each other? If not what verses aren't?
I'm also wondering if other works R07 worked on are canon to 07th Expansion series.
Hi! I'm a big fan of the When They Cry series and I plan on playing Higurashi after I finish Umineko since I had only watched the anime.
I really want to play through Hanyu's backstory which I think is Kotohogushi-hen. What game do I have to buy to get it?
I usually buy through Steam, which uses MangaGamer's publication, but I'm not sure if that version contains it.
For reference, I have a 3DS, switch, steam, and ps4 if I need to buy at a specific console's store. Thanks!
Hi! So, I am starting to be a huge fan of the When They Cry series! I have watch the anime version of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou. I am also playing through Umineko and just started the Answer Arcs. I also plan to play through Cicona some time.
What I'm wondering is; is there any merit playing through all the Higurashi games if I know what happens? I don't mind reading through stuff, but I feel knowing what will happen takes the fun out of it... Also, I'm kinda broke so I don't really want to spend money for no reason... I know they probably explain things better in the vn, but is it worth it?
Should I buy all of the higurashi vn's, or just pick a few chapters to read (such as Hanyu's backstory), or just read none of them? Thank you for the advice!!
